Shipping Information
We use the services of Local Cargo companies for all freight forwarding services.
Shipping is available by Sea or by Air.
Air Freight is the quickest, most expensive means of transporting freight. Rates are charged per kg and is calculated by weight (volumetric weight).
Sea Freight is the most economical means of transporting goods.
There are two main ways to send goods by seafreight.
LCL - Less than Container Load - this means that goods are crated in specially designed wooden crates, custom measured for the size of your goods. LCL shipments have some risks, particularly with goods that are regarded as fragile. Goods from Bali are packed and loaded in Bali, unloaded in Java, reloaded and unloaded in Singapore and unloaded at destination.
LCL shipments have frequent handlings and thus, we suggest that all customers take insurance on all shipments to cover against damge during transit. Insurance is charged at 2% on the value of the goods. We can arrange this for you if desired.
LCL shipments have some restrictions particularly for Australia. Shipments involving specialised fumigation, such as Ethylene Oxide cannot be sent to Australia. These such shipments must be sent as FULL CONTAINER LOAD.
FCL - Full container loads are available in 20ft (30m3) 40ft (60m3) 40ft high cube (64m3)
Shipments sent FCL are loaded in Bali and unloaded at the destination, so there is considerably less handling and moving of the goods.
FCL shipments are more cost effective than sending anything more than 13m3 as LCL. Local clearance charges are charged per container or per cubic metre. Once 13m3 or more, it is often more economical to send FCL.
Local handling: We have an international network of clearing agents / brokers at our disposal. These agents / brokers assist with the clearance of all shipments upon arrival into PORT. In some cases, they can also assist with the delivery of your goods to your door. All local handling charges are paid locally at your destination.
